On 6/10/1861 he was commissioned into "B" Co. MI 3rd Infantry
He Resigned & Discharged for disability on 7/30/1861
On 10/29/1861 he was commissioned into "B" Co. MI 1st Eng
He Resigned on 2/23/1862
