Monroe Dye, son of Mr.& Mrs.Jasper Dye,was born Dec.15,1879 & passed away on Sep.24,1936,at age 56 yrs.,9 mos., & 9 days. Monroe came to Michigan 26 yrs.ago. On June 8,1918, he married Miss Dollie Welch of this place. They had 7 children, June,Virginia, Bobby, Basil, Billie, Dale & Dorothy. Mr. Dye was a Spanish-American War Soldier. He was a member of Hannah Camp No.23 of Traverse City. The deceased leaves to mourn;his wife, 7 children; 1 brother, Charles Dye, of this place; several other relatives & friends.Funeral services conducted by Rev. H.H. Snider at the home Sat. afternoon & interment took place in the Southern Cem.
