Grew up in Thornapple (Middleville), Michigan.
He was 18 years old when he enlisted on 9/7/1861 at Thornapple, Michigan as a Private.
On 9/23/1861 he mustered into "F" Co. MI 8th Infantry
He was Killed on 6/16/1862 at the Battle of Secessionville, South Carolona. His body to date, has never been identified.

If anyone has information on where he might be buried, help would be appreciated.
