Description
Ebenezer Rathbun (Rathbone), Company A, 13th Michigan Infantry, 1420 Gallatin Pike South Madison, TN 37115, Nashville National Cemetery (GPS N36°14.411, W086°43.566)

Ebenezer's wife was Lucy Austin Rathbun (Rathbone) who lost her husband and 2 months later their 18 year old son (Girdon Rathbun, 8th Michigan Infantry) at the battle of Secessionvill at James Island. Lucy lost the family farm as a result of her family's involvement in the Civil War. Lucy Rathbun is buried at Riverside Cemetery in an unmarked grave (this website will be placing a marker next spring 2012 at her grave). Another son "John" is reported to have served in the Union Army, survived the war and ended up in Iowa. As I find more data on him, I will build a page dedicated to him.
Ebenezer Rathbone is the 3rd great-grandfather of the owner of this website. Another find after the website was built.
