Luther Stone, CO F, 3rd MI Infantry, and wife Huldah J. Stone, Ovid, Michigan (GPS N43°00.152, W084°21.963)
At age 18 years old, Luther enlisted on 3/7/1865 at Pontiac, MI as a Private.
On 3/7/1865 he mustered into "F" Co. MI 3rd Infantry
He was discharged on 3/7/1866 at San Antonio, TX
(At expiration of term of service)
Luther was born in New York, was married and worked as a farmer. His father was Cheney Stone and mother was Betsey Prosser, both of Massachusetts. Clare W. Stone signed the death certificate at the link below;
